Varieties of Osteospermum (Spanish Marguerite)
Use the buttons below to view the different varieties of SUNNY® Osteospermum.
SUNNY®’s traditional varieties for cultivation in 10–15 cm tubs are what we call the Classic varieties. Classic represents the widest variety with the largest selection of colours.
In 2010, SUNNY® introduced the Pixie® range of Osteospermum. The range comprises a new bronze-coloured variety as well as the white, pink, two-tone, purple, yellow and, last but not least, red. It should be noted that this is the first truly red Osteospermum ever seen up until now. Pixie® Osteospermum is particularly suitable for production in 9 cm tubs or six-packs.
Sunbrella’s® is especially suitable for hanging baskets. Sunbrella’s® Osteospermum is distinguished by its trailing habit, which develops throughout the season into the most attractive hanging plants. Sunbrella’s® is available in orange-yellow, white, pink, purple, deep purple and salmon pink. All with large flowers and superb re-flowering. Very suitable for production in pot sites from 20 cm upwards. Sunbrella’s can also be used as ground cover.
ArtDeco® is the major new Osteospermum initiative from SUNNY®. The ArtDeco® range is a range of long-stalked, large-flowered Osteospermum with a strong growth habit. All varieties in the range are very suitable for production in pot sizes of 15 cm and larger. The ArtDeco® varieties do well as individual plants in large tubs, or for use as bedding plants.
