Growth chart

In northern climes (e.g. Scandinavia), SUNNY® Osteospermum achieves good growth and flower formation at a constant temperature of 12–14°C and aeration at +2°C. In addition, Osteospermum requires a well-lit greenhouse, preferably with grow lights.

Further south (Amsterdam and southwards), Osteospermum is produced in greenhouses without light and preferably as cold house production down as far as 0°C.

Plant growth is controlled by two or three waterings with Cycocel, and plants should be spaced 25–40 per m2. Production time from potting to sales is 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the season and production method.
Cultivation requires a lot of watering and feeding. The best plant quality is achieved with ebb-and-flow watering systems.
