Easy care of Osteospermum (Spanish Marguerite)

Osteospermum is one of the most popular and hardy bedding plants you can choose. It is suitable for planting in tubs, window boxes and directly into borders in the garden.

Osteospermum is available in a riot of exciting colours and can be used singly or in combination with other bedding plants, e.g. maidenhair or foliage perennials such as Hosta and Heuchera.

When you buy your Osteospermum, choose plants with lots of buds and not too many flowers in full bloom. The sooner you plant out Osteospermum, the more flowers will develop during the summer.

Buy only good-quality bedding plants that have been well watered and are not dried out. These plants will develop into the most beautiful and healthiest plants during the summer.

Osteospermum is not a hardy perennial, but will flower outdoors until the first frosts.
